@Canageek idk but I've decided that John McClain is Miss Piggy and her estranged spouse is Kermit

@Canageek Think about it: the whole dynamic with McClain and his wife is that they're estranged, he wants to resume the relationship and she doesn't want to, until he saves the day.

Miss Piggy and Kermit's dynamic tends to be Miss Piggy pursuing and Kermit withdrawing.

Miss Piggy is much easier to picture doing violence.

Also, Miss Piggy's yippee ky-yay would be epic.

@skysailor @Canageek I said elsethread that imagining Kermit swearing was weird but not bad (maybe even kinda hot?)

Miss Piggy swearing just feels normal.

@Canageek
The physical abuse he suffers, eg the walking-through-broken-glass scene, probably requires that John McClane be a Muppet for child-friendliness reasons. Since the human is typically either the main protagonist or the main villain, Hans Gruber seems the obvious choice here.
