The first rule of foreign policy is, don't trust The Kremlin.

And yet, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio tells every medium that he has progress on a Ukraine peace deal, and he just needs to get Russia to sign it, and then we will have peace in Ukraine — as if such a signature would carry any weight.

Is Rubio the grandson of Neville Chamberlain who thought his peace deal with Hitler was real?

Yes, yes I think Rubio is cut from the same cloth as Neville Chamberlain.

@randahl Rubio seems to just want any ending to the Russia/Ukraine war. Doesn't seem to care which way it goes. But, he's just a pawn. Putin has laid out a ridiculous set of "these are my terms" and maybe he actually thinks Zelensky & Ukraine will jump at the unmitigated gaul Putin has & accept. NFW!! EU & Zelensky know Putin won't stop....or perhaps he's overstating what he'd accept, knowing haggling will occur. I say: F@ #K Putin & trump! Stay strong w/your own demands!!

No that's insulting to Neville Chamberlain, he knew Great Britain was in no shape to fight Germany and needed time. All US officials are interested in is making Trump's wallet fatter

@randahl Probably yes. Chamberlain was the grandfather also to all currently sitting presidents & prime ministers of Europe.
