I wish we could take all of these people and their delusions and point them towards working on something that matters. All of these techbros with their infinite energy to create wealth, if only they could be persuaded that saving the world was a worthwhile cause. Hey bro, I like totally saved the world today more than you. No way, bro, I'm gonna really hustle and grind to save the world more than you tomorrow. Like, totally clear up the oceans then play squash and have a matcha enema.

@TheBreadmonkey ...and this is what slackers like me have to contend with, idiots working flat out to make the world a shittier place.

Seeing these people makes me want to shake them by the shoulders and say "look around you, all of this - none of this bollocks means anything!"

(apologies for language but I get the feeling the inhabitants of beige party are used to it)

@TheBreadmonkey This guy who gets up at 6, has a glass of water and then "get out into sunlight". Wonder how that's working out for him right now?

@TheBreadmonkey Huge toxic masculinity energy from these idiots. Abusing friends and family for work, lack of empathy for anyone who isn’t them, the privilege of money meaning they don’t need to worry about mundane things like clothing, feeding themselves and maintaining their living space (things that all of us do in our “spare” time outside work).

And they convince themselves that they are making “our” lives better!

@TheBreadmonkey That’s absolutely bonkers. I mean, I love my job and sometimes get in "the zone" and work too long. But if someone sees I'm still logged on, they'll say, "Alex, wtf log out and enjoy your evening/weekend/etc." and I snap out of it. Work is important, but so is the everything else. How sad that they don't have anything else going for them.

@TheBreadmonkey

It's very important to work as many hours as you can, neglect your family, never see your friends, in order to make somebody else rich

The utter joylessness of these goblins is staggering

@TheBreadmonkey I would go and look for the archive link, but I don't care that much what the telegraph has to say.

@TheBreadmonkey Greed. Greed is the problem. And the fact that these people have somehow been convinced that having more than their neighbour (even if they have no time to spend it) is somehow going to fill their spiritual emptiness that all of us have inside.
