hey there fedi! it's me, vanta rainbow black, the fediverse's favorite cyberpunk catgirl instance admin! i'm here to ask for help with something that'd mean a lot to me!!! 
THE OCCASION? my birthday is in three days!!! that's on the 12th of november. i'll be turning 29
THE ASK? i'd really like a GPD Pocket 3 or similar form factor device
WHY? so i'm online a lot, right. like the internet is a big part of my life. but because of how far i live from seattle i often find myself taking long trips up there and staying at my joyfriend's place, where i don't have access to a computer with all my stuff on it and can't do anything til i get back home. and i don't have one i could bring with me. so to help with administrating the cybersyndicate and rainbow report and just my being online generally, and most importantly to help me write and work on my memoir and rainbow report articles on the go, i'd like to ask for a GPD Pocket 3 or similar device for my birthday. or like declare it as a birthday wish or whatever lol
it's the perfect portable form factor, would fit in the Vest Of Holding's inside pocket easily, and i would put linux on it. i've really wanted to be able to have something i can take with me places and still do laptop stuff with for a long time. it would even give me something to do on long transit trips!!!
the model i was looking at, the GPD Pocket 3, is roughly $800 after tax. and there's another lesser-spec one i was looking at for about $500ish after tax
and in case it wasn't obvious i'm unemployed and disabled and poor and only asking because i could never in a million years afford something like this on my own
