Remember seeing an article about this eerie situation.
For far-rights, as I see, nothing bad happened, some "gag" and "lol".
The EU politician got caught into this idea of "AI race", like instead of making EU an AI-free paradise safe to live in they think that if decide avoiding AI or forbidding its usage, people will keep using US-made AI anyway and it will keep another dependency on US tech. So they decided to create own AI to be used within EU, for sake of "competitiveness".
