I miss blogs.
As Bhaskar Sunkara writes, when the space for independent blogging narrowed and news websites shuttered their comment sections, the debates didn’t vanish, they migrated into private channels or morphed into “quote-tweet pile-ons, where the incentive is attention through denunciation.”

So the million-dollar question is, how can we reimagine and reinvent those messy conversation spaces without them falling apart again?
We need respectful, prosocial opportunities for meaningful communication, especially on topics where we don’t agree.
