My favorite inventor is the person who mixed potatoes with mayonnaise and called it a salad.

@Alice how about- and stay with me- cabbage, mayo and a little vinegar?

Or, if you’re like me, a bottle of good wine vinegar, and a straw

@Alice cause "salad" originally meant anything chipped and sprinkled with salt long before it meant specifically lettuce, etc.

@Alice I rarely eat potato salad, but when I do, it needs to have some tartness from including either mustard, dijon, or a type of vinegar.

Without one of those it's just bland crap.

@Alice
There's a different type of potato salad that tastes even better which is basically potatoes and vinaigrette dressing, which I prefer personally but even so, it does seem that potatoes + a condiment of some form = salad somehow...

@Alice Oh, that reminds me - I bought a bag of tiny potatoes yesterday. Tossing them in the air fryer and then tossing them with some mayo sounds like an excellent idea. And healthy, because it's "salad."
