@alexband @jpmens Personal preference: if it is free software, you may read the source code (and compile, to check that the source code you have is the real one).
Also, should I need to send a PR (but, giving my knowledge of Rust, it is unlikely, it is more a matter of principle), I want to know if I can compile.

@alexband @jpmens Actually, when alpha and beta-testing, it is common, when I report a bug, that the author tells me "try this small patch, we'll see if it solves the problem". So, even in a language I don't know, being able to compile myself is useful.

@bortzmeyer @jpmens Your stance on compiling alphas and betas gets a lot of respect from the @nlnetlabs dev team!

With regards to the comments about Cascade waiting to display the DS record, this is not by design. We currently lack commands to get the DS (and DNSKEY, CDS, CDNSKEY) records out of keyset and show them to the user. We’ll add this in an upcoming release.
