Sooo … @OH3CUF reported a GDPR violation of the #Meshtastic iOS app to the developers only to have the ticket not only closed but full-on deleted.
I could not let that stand, and opened another ticket roughly the same arguments. https://github.com/meshtastic/Meshtastic-Apple/issues/1456

I posted links to the original posts on the Meshtastic discord, and guess what? The link to the screengrab post was removed there as well.
It was alleged that the issue was just another instance "outrage clickbait", and a "complete misunderstanding of [the EU user's] own law". The maintainer seems to truly believe in the approach of removing a "totally incorrect" issue from GH.
At this point, I consider the #Meshtastic project culturally tainted. I will be seeking out alternative firmware.
