Shit's getting *nasty*!
The Rails fork open letter has a PR attempting to deface it. Minions from the former birdsite decided it'd be a hoot to swarm it. And DHH has gone full dank edgelord…essentially accusing his critics of being aligned with the Charlie Kirk murder!

Listen to me very, very carefully.
**There is no world where a man like this should be allowed to control a major software community and maintain key software infrastructure.**
DHH must step aside or be ostracized. **He has to go.**
His words should be found to be utterly sickening to all people of good conscience.
Things #Rails Core could have already done by now that aren't 100% cutting ties, e.g.
“Announcement: We, Rails Core, have asked DHH to take a temporary leave as a cooling-off period for 1 month. We are also requesting he create a separate blog with no references to Rails if he wants to continue making political statements which are divisive within the community. The blog where he posts re: Rails should remain professionally minded & respectful of all views.”
There are lots of variations of this. I'll be frank, I think that's unacceptable at this point. But in the not-so-distant past, I think it would have assuaged many of our fears.
Instead Rails Core has nothing, nothing at all. Rails Foundation has done nothing. Ruby Central has done nothing. Nobody, anywhere, with any levers of power, have had any affect on DHH's behavior whatsoever. In his own mind, he is winning a war and vanquishing his enemies.
Wild stuff.
It is bizarre in the extreme that now DHH sycophants are arguing that the viewpoint of people who don't think he should be running #Rails is a very tiny minority, therefore their opinions don't matter.
