Since 2010, #SOTEU has been the moment for the European Commission President to share Europe’s priorities.

In previous SOTEU, President von der Leyen focused on post-pandemic recovery, response to Russia’s war against Ukraine and energy crisis, clean and digital transition, competitiveness, defence and resilience, global partnerships.

@EUCommission lots of blah blah probably and almost no boem boem. Strong leadership is staying true to the European values. Even if they are under attack.

I think it’s clear that the genocide that we help Israel carry out is a top priority. Will that be part of her speech? Maybe talk about the vast amounts of weapons we send to Israel or the many other forms of financial, diplomatic and law-evading things we do?

I can't wait to watch it.

I am incredibly excited about the unveiling of her jacket color – will she wear a coral one or a yellow one, while expressing both her grave concern about, and unfaltering further support for, the #genocide in #Gaza?

@EUCommission oh, when did she address the need for a full embargo on "that one genocidal state"? Did she notice the subsersive attack on democracy and ""EU values"" set by #ChatControl? Maybe she could find some time to figure these out, between fake plane sabotages and planning ww3
