2/ left Eagle Scout peak at noon and was back down over Kaweah gap to Precipice lake again by 2 pm. Precipice lake looked significantly different Monday then it had when I'd passed Saturday in the fog. Nice to see all the way up the face to the diving board summit block on top of Eagle Scout where I had just been.

3/ left Precipice lake after lunch, ran back down to Hamilton lake, and an hour later I was swimming. That felt great, dried off and got a private bivy spot on the rocks off the water before other hikers started showing up. Chatted with some people, most were looping from Mineral King or heading to Whitney on HST.

5/ Day 3 ended with nice color for sunset down at Hamilton lake. Cowboy camped on the slab rock by the lake. Plenty warm with just the 30 F quilt on a foam pad. Great stars again, clear all night.
