it's an attention layer for the open web. the 90s gave us the opportunity to put up anything and be seen by the world, but most sites were ignored. until social media, outside of Google, most sites relied on being mentioned by mass media to get traffic. decentralized social media now means the public can decide for itself what deserves to go viral outside, not media owners or advertisers. that's the revolution. #DemocracyOfReach
