I mean the people of Newcastle and NUFC supporters well, but Alan Shearer is not the most endearing of Magpies. Delusional pie, more like.
The monarchy of the head-chopping regime of Saudi Arabia is using NUFC to build whatever they want.

Paraphrased: "We're building ourselves into big club, not selling our best players" [to a club that just won the league, sold its second-best scorer for a large profit, & will use that money to partially fund signing our best player, a player who wants to leave]
Big clubs don't sell talented players?!? Sometimes it's necessary, even if you really rate the player. Smart clubs leverage it to get better in composite. Cough, cough, Coutinho.
But they've spent handily for a few years and haven't sold and PSR works for/against everyone. Nightmare offseason for them, but it's their own doing.
Also, "we value Isak at £150m, but pay him wages well below a player at his valuation" is wild!
The tragedy isn’t that NUFC fans dream, it’s that their dreams are being financed by a murderous regime. And Shearer, one of their most prominent figures ever, is selling those dreams like they’re handmade. They’re not.
Every penny NUFC trade is sustained with another journalist that the Saudi monarchs kill, with another persecuted gay person, with another woman made slave, with another political opponent brutally decapitated. Disgusting.
