Hedge bindweed - lots of it, and really pretty.

Two hedge bindweed flowers. They have five points - the petals aren't separated. It's a delicate pink around the edges ND white towards the center and yellow right in the center. It's on a vine like plant.

My speckled whatsit! Or, a juvenile night heron.

A juvenile night heron standing on a branch over some water. It has long legs, and a long beak. It's plumage is a streaked/speckled brown and white and it has golden eyes.

An osprey! I was able to figure it out for sure by looking up the bird call - this one was talking to it's mate who was nesting on a post in the sound. Very loud birdie.

I followed the osprey down the boardwalk and he decided to post up here in this fantastic tree - definitely knew he looked awesome.

A leafless tree in the sound. It has many bare branches and looks weather worn. Perched at the very top is the same osprey from my last post.

Aa few moments after the osprey went off to do osprey things, this crow appears and takes a spot at the top.

I AM MAGNIFICENT, TOO!

More pretty flowers! Marsh mallows and hibiscus. I love how the hibiscus petals are pleated.
