it's not that I despise LLM generative AI. It's that I despise the way that Big Tech billionaire CEOs are stuffing it down the throat of society with no obvious concern for the immense damage they're doing.

The damage is the point.
From its origins among aggrieved academic computer scientists who aspired to replace the physical sciences and eliminate all other scholarship, to their partners and enablers among the "tech" industries who intend to exploit our worse impulses for the profit of a few psychopath overlords, the whole Big Data project was intentionally malevolent and destructive from the outset.
