more garden updates:

- bumblebees of all kinds are going ham on the wild roses and bush honeysuckle
- there are at least two nicely sized orchard orbweavers (Leucauge venusta) and the hackled orbweaver (Uloborus glomosus) has made an egg sac(!)
- only one of the milkweeds (Asclepias syriaca) is flowering so far. they are all being diligently guarded by a horde of whirligig mites
- buds have appeared on the butterfly milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa). it's far too early for the Joe-Pye weed (Eutrochium fistulosum) to bloom but it's getting surprisingly big
- Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) has appeared! I am hoping I can guide it towards the building and it can replace the Euonymus.
