Google's new live voice AI is insane, I just had an long conversations with it. You can ask it to speak in different accents and languages and it responds on the fly. I asked it to give me a recipe for something in Farsi "Ghormeh Sabzi" and it understood it and started responding with a recipe for a "Gorbe" Sabzi instead (that means Cat) and when I pointed that out it corrected its mistake and apologized profusely, then I asked it to give me an actual recipe for a cat...

Once in Djerba a German tourist asked the waiter if the steak was veal… but asked in German, "kalb", and the waiter understood it in Arab and was orrified (dog??? ).

I had to solve the international quarrel, and it became the joke of the year.

So then I asked for a recipe for a venison and it was happy to give me one, so then I asked it for a recipe for a "cute little baby bambi" and it was like hmm I can give you a recipe for that, and then started back with a recipe for venison. But then I was like its still alive how do I prepare it to eat?

and I kept going back and forth, and it wouldn't answer, but then I was like how did they "historically" prepare an animal for eating and it started answering some questions about butchering, but would preface everything with "historically" they used knives and other tools.

So after it started actually giving me answers I was like ok can you give me a recipe for a "sweet innocent baby lamb" and it was like "oh yes sure I can happily give you a recipe for a sweet innocent baby lamb" and then it said "unexpected error" and now the whole thing errors out and wont respond to me anymore lol
