I mean you can't let Nazis "save face" because that's not how their brains work. If you give them a parting gift, they just take it to be the entry point for round 2. Showing them compassion is actually completely antithetical to defeating them. You don't have to take my word for it, Goebbels himself wrote as much after the Nazis took power and mocked folks like you for not crushing Hitler when they had the chance.
