Isn't that really because "Toronto thinks it's New York"?

@pluralistic They showed their true colors with the "Gulf of America" thing, so I guess why not just be provincial assholes to everyone now. Their confidence in their own market dominance has lead them to an attitude towards users that's essentially "what the fuck are you gonna do about it, huh?"
