@redezem but through Safari? i thought it was just app store apps?
@decryption They aren't asking for the age. Safari supposedly blocks adult content if you're underage. So all Aylo does is flag "this site is adult content" and Safari does the rest without Aylo needing to do anything.
@redezem oh really? is there a certain header/tag that you can pop in your HTML to trigger the iOS age verification?
@decryption So Apple is annoyingly vague about how this works, but here's some indication of the feature from a non-UK standpoint where it's opt-in:
https://support.apple.com/en-au/105121
Basically Apple has some opaque Adult Content blacklist they manage that is checked against on device when this is active. In the UK this is automatically enabled if you're underage, so assuming Aylo has asked Apple to add their sites (or have gone "everyone goes to our sites Apple will know what they are") that should work, I guess.
I'm not going to lie I can think of so many things that can go wrong here but I guess from the purely policy compliance level this.... works?
@decryption I'm not sure how they're doing it, but that's supposed to be part of the 26.4 update. Hangon let me see if I can find how to do it.
