@arclight @ariadne Every one of the big commercial spam relays used by mainstream businesses (like brick and mortar department stores) is allowlisted, but try sending your own mail, fewer than 5/day total volume, from a residential or VPS IP and you're fucked.

@arclight @ariadne DNSBLs are still a scam, enforcing monopolies, allowlisting big commercial spam senders, and extorting anyone else who wants to be able to send actual person to person mail.

@ariadne @dalias That has not been my experience but I haven't run my own mail in a decade. I found graylisting to be slightly more effective but that's really only applicable to mail.

@dalias @arclight @ariadne hi. haven't had problems from my VPS either. (I'm sure there's loads of other folks who could say that, too... hard to get stats on something that works fine)
