@davidgerard They deserve no sympathy at all, the ghouls of the chans and QAnon didn't back down when people like Steve Bannon openly admitted to weaponising them, they didn't back down when Facebook admitred to experimenting on users to make them miserable for profit, they didn't back down when their favourite grifters were caught taking russian money to repeat talking points... They were so focussed on hating brown people, gays and the libs in the name of 'protecting children' they would accept any reality but the one they actually live in. People told them over and over again, but no evidence was good enough until their chosen billionaire elites started shrugging and going, 'Well, the kids weren't that young really!' in a way that couldn't be handwaved away.
