@cassolotl @pmc I think there are many ways it can be implemented, and the quickest and easiest, especially for people on mastodon, is to imagine a centralized approach

@cassolotl You have reinvented uucp, amirite?
@cassolotl @beka_valentine for it to be a proper anarchist post network, I’d be weary of having a single centralized service that manages everything. that sort of single point of failure can be an achilles heel
@pmc @beka_valentine I'm curious to know what a formalised decentralised version would look like - ideas welcome. :)
@cassolotl @pmc i think its important to be clear about what things you think require centralization
i don't think any of it requires centralization, but we're not the same person, so i can't comment on your views, or on piper's
"i don't think any of it requires centralization" - do you think my proposal is a centralised or decentralised system?
@cassolotl @beka_valentine it seems to reference going to a single specific website that handles the routing and keeping track of statistics - if that was a misunderstanding then I apologize!
@pmc @beka_valentine No no not at all - I was just checking that we were understanding each other, and we were! :)
How would you do it in a decentralised way?
