@basker It took me like an hour of thinking "there must be an easier way" then failing to find it and figuring it out myself but yes... (I had to export to CSV, then write a Python script to generate the command line arguments in the right format with the right sections and offsets...)

@lina wow i had no idea you could make symbols on Ghidra and them write them to a binary to have it be legible with gdb!?!? am i reading this right?

@raisondetredev Technically I don't know, but the GC code repo is on their GitHub so I don't think they care if I decompile this part ^^;;
@raisondetredev@mastodon.de @lina@vt.social it likely differs per country. you're not redistributing proprietary code, so copyright probably isn't an issue here. you probably broke an end user license agreement, though i've heard those aren't legally binding in many cases, something about them being difficult to understand for the average person. trying to fact check this using a search engine mostly just shows links to reddit, so idk how accurate this information is. this bug being found helps unity a little, so i don't think they care
@Haijo7 @raisondetredev Wine basically wouldn't exist if people weren't allowed to do this kind of stuff to fix bugs.
EULAs only actually matter if you're doing something the author doesn't like. Much of the software industry would collapse if people stopped "breaking EULAs a little bit" when nobody cares. It would basically end all kinds of debugging any time any proprietary software is involved.
@lina Awesome work, I am always amazed by the ability to go so deep into the rabbit hole of people doing reverse engineering.
