I seen some shit.
I've locked a computer so hard you had to unplug it and let if sit for two minutes to let the capacitors lose charge.
I once shipped a word processor for *six* *weeks* that would format your hard drive every 1024 saves.
@GeePawHill improved the speed of control software so it sent commands to an industrial robot without an undocumented delay which caused the robot to punch through an acrylic glass wall.
I was sitting on the opposite side of the wall at the time.
@GeePawHill I once splitbrained an entire cluster following the stated recovery procedure and then proceeded to lose years of unrecoverable secrets that had to be recovered in ways that indirectly proved we should’ve failed an audit
@GeePawHill Got the date comparison reversed and deleted all the UNexpired notifications.
@GeePawHill I crashed the university accounting office’s NetWare server *from a client* machine. Twice.
(Which Novell support insisted wasn’t possible.)

@ellenor2000 Changed the buffer size, I thought, *everywhere*, but not. Initialized the buffer, fill the master directory block with zeroes, write it to the drive. :)
