It would be useful for reporters writing about Trump's preposterous "Board of Peace" to mention one country that is definitely not a member: the United States.
Trump doesn't have the power to join it. Any international treaty requires the vote of two-thirds of the Senate.

Of course he’s proposing to chair the board as an individual, not ex oficio. And the board can’t do anything without his permission and they can’t vote him out.

@gleick Well, no other country is a member yet, either. I doubt joining has been formally approved in any country. None of the so-called members are absolute monarchies or de jure dictatures, so just the head of state signing something doesn't mean the country becomes a member.
