@catsalad I have to admit ๐น at least itโs a โniceโ looking face and not the grotesque faces Iโve seen on old paintings of cats ๐น
Hereโs the positives: nice big dark eyes, pretty good proportions, almost looks like a smile or โhey Iโm down here!โ exclamation ๐น
The rest of the body looks good too ๐น
I agree with someone mentioning โyou think a cat will hold still?โ ๐น most cats I sketch irl donโt hold still enough to get past their body position ๐น forget the face ๐น photography helps SO MUCH !๐น
@catsalad Saint Jerome/Androcles and his lion have entered the chat
@catsalad all I can say is that sometimes rich ppl pay an artist for their name and not their work lolololol but it almost looks like it was a personโs face but they made a mistake and the artist was like โtell you whatโฆโ
@catsalad mfw I'm asked to paint a cat.
@catsalad The nose is killing me ๐๐๐
Thanks for the laugh
@catsalad Blake had the same problem
@catsalad "Yes, of course. I assume this is because you have seen my perfect painting of a lion.'
@catsalad This is horrible, thank you!
@catsalad this suddenly explains those medieval lion paintings where no one seemed to have grasped that lions look like cats, only bigger.
@catsalad That's King Charles' cat.
@catsalad The Wizard of Oz (1939).
