Unfortunately I don't have a lot of disposable income for all the books I want.
But I have a library card and my local library has a book request form... so you do the math.
Time to put in a #solarpunk book wishlist request to Auckland City Libraries.

@pezmico libraries are wonderful! My 10yo binges audiobooks like you wouldn鈥檛 believe. So grateful our library has both Libby & BorrowBox!
on that note, not among many peoples main things to look for when choosing a city...
But one of my reasons to settle in Auckland (not the only one but a big one) was the awesome library network here.
It is just so easy to navigate, so vast and complete. I love it.
And librarians are consistently among the best people.
So yeah, this is a Auckland City Libraries appreciation toot.

@pezmico my step son told me that inter-library loan in Wellington is not free. Auckland Libraries are awesome for this as well. I can get any book in the system delivered to my little library up here in Warkworth.
When I was growing up in the US you could get books through inter-library loan from basically any and all public libraries across the whole US. Tried it a few times. That was really cool.
