Here's the New York Times helping the Trump regime normalize murder -- by federal thugs against anyone they decide to kill -- on America's streets.

The modest caveats in the sub-head and story are not remotely sufficient.

Both-sides treatment of obvious murder -- journalistic malpractice.

@dangillmor seems that ICE has a list of people that their agents are authorized to kill (anybody who has interacted with the observer training groups).

“If you look at what the definition of domestic terrorism is,” Ms. Noem said, “it completely fits the situation on the ground.”

Pam Bondi's memo classified impeding law enforcement officers or even simply doxxing them as domestic terrorism.

So Bondi's guidance to the DOJ and the FBI is that "impeding law enforcement officers" because you are opposed to "immigration enforcement" is "domestic terrorism"

What does her potential activism (or lack thereof) have to do with her getting shot in the face? How is this in any way relevant to the FBI investigation?

Perhaps these are the questions the nation's "paper of record" should be asking.

""Possible Ties to Activist Groups?" FFS.

Nasty, even by the low standards of the NYT. Also, has someone there invented a time machine? Because its headline seems to be identical to one J. Edgar Hoover would have written about a Black activist he was about to firebomb and murder.

@dangillmor In that moment, that "officer" had no idea who she was or who she might be affiliated with, and it wouldn't matter anyway. She could be a serial killer, and it wouldn't justify extrajudicial execution.

Correct

#NYTimes , like all traditional journalism, is not equipped to deal with modern disinformation.

Rather than wait for the admin to provide verifiable evidence of activist ties, they obligate themselves to report the lie in good faith.

Propaganda gets distributed and boosted, but at least they can point to their journalistic ethics about "neutrality"
