Iran says it is 'prepared' for war if US intervenes after hundreds killed in protests
Iran's General Prosecutor Mohammad Kazem Movahedi-Azad said that “all rioters” could face the the charge of moharebeh - waging war against God - an offence punishable by death, and one used in previous rounds of protests to issue death penalties for some alleged armed protesters.
Norwegian-based Iran Human Rights (IHR) group told the BBC it had verified at least 1500 executions up until the start of December last year. the regime in Tehran intensified the rate of executions from 2022 on, following the #womenlifefreedom protests
