We must, must, must continue to pay attention to such developments. It is unpleasant, scary, and hard but unless we keep paying attention we stand no chance of ever successfully getting rid of the Republican Fascist Party. 3/

Knowledge and awareness are an indispensable source of opposition to an utterly unacceptable political regime. They are not sufficient to change things but they are necessary. We need organization, courage, tenacity, and grit. All of these are easier to grow when we apprehend and understand what we are facing. 5/

It’s 2026 – #US midterms in November! If you want the #vote to work now, get an ever growing mass of the concerned to contact their reps with the #impeachment demand, or, we #primary you with someone who will, while finding those candidates and promoting them
Let’s do #democracy against these fascist upstarts and their enablers.

@heidilifeldman I find this aspect to be the most frustrating remnant of the Obama admin. The notion that progressive success was inevitable, so progressives had only to be smart, aware, and could, from a place of sarcasm or disdain, simply call out hypocrisy. It’s action less and glib. It’s also dangerous at this point. Because democracy, freedom, human rights, right of law are not self-evident. They’re constant pushes or else constantly eroded.

My vote for action is soft secession.
