Aw. CMON people. You do NOT NEED THE INTERNET AND A SUBSCRIPTION TO DETERMINE IF YOU ARE HYDRATED OR NOT.

TLDR: If your urine is light yellow to almost clear, YOU ARE HYDRATED. If your urine is dark yellow (or you aren't going to the bathroom much), YOU ARE DEHYDRATED.

ps. Send me $6 a month for this toot in your stream once a month. 🤪

@Cyclist @ai6yr not always....

Google search results from the search "do older people know when they're thirsty" result: "Older adults often do not feel thirsty, even when dehydrated, because the body’s thirst signal weakens with age. "

@pkufeldt @Cyclist @ai6yr Most people don't. By the time I start getting thirsty, I also already have all the other symptoms of being badly dehydrated.

(It also takes around 2 hours for water to actually do its thing, which is why the advice is to keep drinking water throughout the day. I don't think electrolyte drinks work any faster either, so there's not really a way around it.)
