The prosthetic was reshaped with a guessed fit for my atrophy and how my foot moved with the break so we’ll see how it goes.

But I had to ship it to the clinic and ofc couldn’t weight bear when I did try it on for the fit photos, and couldn’t walk in it with the broken foot, so def leaning on the expertise of my prostheticist here. He’s a really great prostheticist, so I’m cautiously optimistic. 🍀🧧🤞🏻

Holy shit I can’t believe I put off trying my prosthetic on for 28 hours after being cleared to attempt

(I mean, I really can, I have anxiety and a lot of FEELS about leggi. It was a lot longer since I got it back too)

but it’s a PERFECT fit ! *and* they refurbed it so well with all new hardware and padding it’s BEAUTIFUL.

@pumiquxt thank you!! The ExoSym is a really cool device, I’m thankful.

In case you want to learn more, since fedi is full of nerds (/pos):

It was developed for military injuries (as funding sources often are) but then the prostheticist moved to hanger clinic to make it available more widely. It helps people with congenital extremity impairments like clubfoot, and acquired impairments.
