"ah i need to step debug this" but xdebug is gone and demanding pie to return so now i get to learn what new folder it lives in before i can reconfigure it for the 4th time on this laptop and probably go digging in my phpstorm settings yet again when i dont caaaaaaaaaaaare

"probably safe to upgrade to 8.4 on local now that 8.5 is out" he said to himself just before the deep sighs began as all context of what he was building leaked out of his head from tripping over all the issues it triggered

and a dickensian good afternoon to github actions in particular for leaving its defaults glued to 8.3, guess i'll read ci docs instead of doing anything useful today

@linc Xdebug doesn't require PIE (yet).

Also, PECL is 20+ years old. The website and service are unmaintainable pieces of code with their developers having left a decade ago. It's not like there is a new method every year...

@derickr Was not a dig at you, friend. 🙏 Just cumulative frustration of technology moving my cheese and death-by-papercuts as I battle my ADHD to keep moving forward. I have every confidence each individual change is likely a positive improvement. It is but one drop in the puddle I found myself sitting in. 🙃 This too shall pass. I appreciate your work, as ever.
