Nothing beats Canadian winters.

Back in the day me and my brothers built so many epic igloos and forts, not to mention the snowball fights.

I always won, but I am the oldest 🤣

We always hoped it would get colder than -35c so the school buses would get cancelled and we could stay home.

Now as an adult, it's not as fun, I work remotely so there are no "snow days", but tobogganing and snowboarding still hits when its warmer (-20c).

I could never live south, winter makes summer more special.

Current weather is -35c and feels like -44c.

@dansup while I always prefer 35°F to 35°C, as a child of the German North, -35C is going too far, including the heating cost. (And I prefer weather where public transport from town to town, by bus and train, is frequent, reliable and actually working. One winter, on the Paris-Moscow train, we were stuck in the middle of nowhere all night overnight because the line was frozen. Great bonding, but still not an experience I'd like to repeat)

@dansup agree with last sentence. I lived in Los Angeles and hated it for just how you described. Now I live in #Vermont where there are “nine months of winter and three months of darned poor sledding”

@dansup yeah, I love the seasons. You get 4 hometowns for the price of one.

Coldest I'd ever seen was -20F (-30C ?)
It was a pain, had to run the water to keep the pipes from freezing even with the stove making enough heat to keep the house comfortable.

15 years ago I swore off shoveling snow, now in France the worst you see is 2cm, works for me ¯_(ツ)_/¯
