@ajroach42 One of our children or grandchildren bring me joy every day. There’s not a day goes by that I don’t see or talk to one of them. Just the thought brings me joy.
@ajroach42 I’m getting back into large format photography. Finally just found everything in my house that will let me proceed forward, next step is deep cleaning the 1/4 inch of dust in the darkroom
@ajroach42 I finally got around to watching The Saragossa Manuscript and it was really cool. I’ve had it on my to-watch list forever but finally thought of it after the show I played Friday, where my free drinks were an amazing Polish beer I’d never tasted called Zywiec. I love frame stories, like the 1001 nights or Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer.
I have leftover pizza.
@SpaceLifeForm I had leftover pizza earlier today!
@ajroach42 For the last 10 years I have entered the world of butterflies. These little fragile creatures turn out to be survivors of the highest caliber. They are persistent, even aggressive, and gorgeous.
@ajroach42 I always say this, but working with my #MNTReform and my #MNTPocketReform. I have a new sticker on the Pocket (a squirrel girl one) but I don't have a picture with it yet.
@ajroach42 I'll go again -- the BBC is posting full episodes of Classic Dr. Who on youtube:
@ajroach42 sending weird art zines and antifascist stickers to fediverse friends is really giving me some juice!
@ajroach42 after nearly 9 months since getting laid off and not having any luck finding a new job (was looking before that as well), it looks like I'll have two job offers in the next two days!
@ajroach42
My sanshin makes me happy. Play for a bit and all stress just disappears.

Randall Munroe posted a 15 year update since his wife's cancer diagnosis.

@ajroach42 mine is also yours, but I’ll add on: I’ve been discovering mostly forgotten occult detective characters and noodling with stories featuring them and it’s very fun!
@ajroach42 that time of year for raking and burning leaves (I'm rural, this is a normal thing to do lol) and my jacket smells like a bonfire and every time I put it on to go outside to do yard work I get a little whiff of one of the coziest fall smells to me
I'll go first!

This is Betty White reprising her role from the 50s, 50 years late.
I'll go again!
Digimon Nova Red is a romhack of Pokemon Fire Red replacing the Pokemon with Digimon.
It's cute!
You can find version 3 on the internet archive ( https://archive.org/download/pokemon-rom-hack )
I'm playing version 3.2, which I can share if you'd like.
@ajroach42 ooo this looks fun!
I'll go again!

This is a movie from 1930 that was restored in 1998 and will enter into the public domain in the US in 36 days and 3ish hours.
It's one of the first wide screen, large gauge films.
I watched it for the first time a few days ago. I struggled with some bits of the production (it has no score, and not nearly enough Foley work) but I really genuinely enjoyed the film itself, so much so that I'm still thinking about it several days later.
@ajroach42 I started watching it. They're are some long panning shots that goes through windows and stuff. Was this common back then?
