Salt water laced with cancer-causing chemicals, a byproduct of oil and gas drilling, keeps shooting out of the ground in Oklahoma.

Experts say it means even more wastewater is spreading underground, poisoning the state’s water supply.

@ProPublica I remember the good old days growing up in Ponca City, OK where the kitchen tap water would occasionally catch on fire due to oil and gas drilling. But we didn't have anything as exciting as 40' geysers of gross.

Oil corporations are filth. FILTH. They dont clean up their deadly filth, not in the air, not in the ground, not in wells, not destroyed bridges., or burned FORESTS.

Oil company stockholders are filth. If you see oil company execs you know they smell of diarrhoea. Oil exec's pants are always filled with excrement, diarrhoea.

Know it.

Filthy disgusting people.

Not workers, if you want to blame workers, put them in charge. Oil workers would LOVE to install solar.

@ProPublica Sooners voted for this. Small gubmintz and all that. Pretty much all politics in OK sucks, because OK people keep voting for that. I don't know what can be done for them. They won't listen to reason. They're on their own.

@ProPublica heckuva good reason to ban drilling within 10 miles of human habitation, but a better reason to stop drilling period.

@ProPublica How much is this from oil drilling (a lot), and how much is from fracking (even more if there are only half as many fracking sites as oil wells)?

What the big deal, Oklahoma?
It's just groundwater.
It's not as if it comes out of a kitchen tap or something like the fracking fluids in Pennsylvania do.

One rancher told us that before an oil well near him was plugged, it shot salt water and oil 40 feet in the air.

Oklahoma residents: Have you seen similar pollution incidents, or purges, in your area? Help us report.

@ProPublica That's only the start. Now look at Ohio.
There always is a small earthquake somewhere in Ohio thanks to fracking. These are not the only states heading to ruin.
If you live elsewhere, your property values will be going up as the damage beneath us asserts itself.
This is not an optimistic projection, it is realistic.
