@span g I live in a pretty dense area (Oakland, CA) and the area community has mostly coalesced around medium slow. Whether that is good or not, I can’t say. I have a ton to learn still.

@span mkb err wouldn't mediumslow cause problems with density?

@span mkb interesting! I knew density could theoretically mandate different channel use but haven't seen it necessitated in practice. How many hops do people typically use there?

@span g The [Bayme.sh](http://Bayme.sh) config guide suggests increasing to 5 hops (from the default 3).

I still don’t know enough to comment meaningfully on the merits of the different presets.
