Hey #wrestling fans!
I'm trying to get some independent wrestling on new ellijay television.
If you're involved with an independent wrestling franchise, anywhere in the world, I'd love to chat with you.
I'm also working on a fan centered #wrestling history show that will focus on 70s and 80s wrestling, but will also get into the 90s and beyond occasionally, and will feature some honestly incredible, never before seen footage of 80s NWA matches.
If you're a wrestling fan and willing to talk about it to a camera, hit me up!
It has proven more difficult than I expected to find an independent wrestling organization that wants to show as their wrestlers on a ring cable network.
The resistance mostly seems to be logistical, but I'm willing to handle the logistics for any organization close enough.
Another problem that I'm running into with consistency rn is that at least some of the indie promotions are operated by self avowed fascists.
Vetting an organization from afar can be difficult.
Another big problem I'm finding is consistency. A bunch of the smaller promotions are just folding either in the face of dwindling ticket sales or a lack of local talent or the aging out of their former pro trainers.
Our local promotion went from weekly shows to monthly shows to bimonthly shows.
They lost their venue, and haven't scheduled anything since. I dunno if they're still going to exist next year.
It seemed like we were going to get something going with the big Atlanta promotion, but they just stopped responding like a year ago.
I suppose I could just go camp the independentwrestling.tv site and figure out who is already putting the work in that might be willing to syndicate with us, but ...
I really want to find a real local promotion that we can grow with.
