News: If you can't or won't move on from Windows 10, you can continue to get updates until 2032 by switching your version to the IoT LTSC version. You can do it without deleting your files or settings.

For more info visit https://massgrave.dev/windows10_eol#windows-10-iot-enterprise-ltsc-2021 and open "Upgrade Windows 10 Home, Pro, etc editions to Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 while keeping files and apps".

I would recommend a more modern OS, but it's better than doing nothing.

My suggested upgrade path would be to Linux. Try a few different distributions. The one I use is called Kubuntu and I'm more than happy to answer questions about it. OS choice is not a forever decision, you can reinstall Windows at any time.

Finally, there's always Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 for Win11 without the bloat. That'll be updated until 2035. There are downsides though, see https://massgrave.dev/windows_ltsc_links#what-is-ltsc-and-is-it-the-right-choice-for-you
