@wayubi Not a solution of 99+% of people. Those are the ones I'm interested in. Niche workarounds just let the abuses by the big players continue.
@lauren You make it sound like I said they should use Linux. Lol. It's a solution for ~80% of corporate employees who only need it for light use. The remaining ~20%, I agree, they likely have a specialized use.
@wayubi The thing is that for many (most?) corps trying to support more than one is pretty much not going to happen.
@lauren They have portable versions of Libre Office that don't even need to be installed, let alone needing to be supported by corporate IT. I get it, that might put your computer into non-compliance at certain corporations like banks, etc., with strict security policies, but again, most people don't work at those corporations.
It's @libreoffice for the win... Their free #FOSS Writer app just works AND doesn't upload your private documents to a cloud.

@lauren My "cloud" is within arm's reach. It's called SSDs, and works quite well too.
