Linux on my computer, open source in my heart, and privacy by default.
No telemetry, no bloatware - just pure, customizable freedom. The internet was meant to be open, and so is my OS.
What’s your favorite open source tool?

@ilyess Its impossible to pick just one, but an app I have been greatly appreciative of late is Molly, a security-hardened fork of Signal for Android.

https://molly.im

- Encrypts your database at rest
- Allows multiple devices
- Supports UnifiedPush (no google!)
- Tor support
- And more!

Never going back to the stock Signal app. Molly for life.

@ilyess Oh god, so many choices!

Though in terms of code quality, SQLite's high up there for me!

@alcinnz I wasn’t expecting a DB for an answer but SQLite is very much valid.

What makes it so great in your opinion?

@ilyess Its a very fast and capable DB, with the key simplification of running one transaction at a time. Which is enough for a lot of tasks!

Very legible code too, with an extensive testsuite even if you don't count their apparently even more extensive private one.
