@openrisk @jurgenhaas @smallcircles GrapheneOS is gaining desktop functionality including being able to run Windows and desktop Linux applications via hardware accelerated virtualization.

GrapheneOS is a Linux distribution similarly to the Android Open Source Project. Linux is a kernel and doesn't imply using glibc, systemd, GNOME and other software. The desktop Linux stack would go heavily against our privacy and security focus due to how dramatically far behind it is on those fronts.

Looking forward to that!

After hearing about Android 16 desktop mode, I tried activating it on an up-to-date GrapheneOS Pixel 8a yesterday, but was unable to move the mouse to the external screen. (Without mouse, I was unable to do anything there. Apparently, this is an upstream bug.)

Really looking forward to having an external desktop on #GrapheneOS!

Is there anything we can help you with to get there sooner?
