@MakersHour#MakersHour A3: I believe in small changes adding up to big changes. Even if all my work does is briefly brighten someone's day, that's a little bit of happiness that didn't exist before, and that's especially worthwhile in a world where the people in charge profit from everyone else's misery.

We often forget that sometimes the smallest thing that made someone happy, even for a moment, can stay with them for a long time.
It is a thing that should happen more often, and it will become accumulative.
@MakersHour Of course, I do aspire to more in my writing, and I'll feel very lucky if one of my stories convinces a reader to be kinder to the people around them, or take a progressive political stand they've been too scared to, or even starts questioning their gender. But that's all gravy.
@WizardOfDocs @MakersHour I listen to stacks of audio books and some of the most delightful, insightful and humane are in the LGBTQ+ genres.

@WizardOfDocs @MakersHour well my very close buddy is definitely all of the above and queer so hes evidence that you're definitely right but people are people and it would be nice if compassion, understanding and kindness were universal sadly it's not. Maybe you can do and will continue to make a positive change

A3: YES! It makes a difference in my world. Having a project, whether it’s making, repairing, restoring, tinkering or any of the other bits I do is my sanctuary. It’s my happy place where I can zone out the world around me and 🎶forget about your worries and your strife 🎶.
It’s so good for my Mental Health.
