I think half of the reason this story isn't getting a ton of media coverage is that fact that most people don't know what BlackRock is and how they affect their daily lives.

But had a high ranking NFL exec died all Americans would understand that and especially given the alleged reasons.

So the establishment is running their "look this guy was cRaZy, this isn't a class war its just a lunatic" story and trying desperately for people who can't afford rent to feel bad about a BlackRock exec.

When really the only thing I can see in this story is that there are sooooo many CEOs and wealthy people getting rich at the expense of the average person that average people just don't care when they get hurt, even by accident.

Maybe its ok for people making Americans homeless or popularizing activities that give amateurs and professionals lifelong brain damage to remember we probably will make memes instead of mourning their loss. Yes even if they were "collateral damage".

Under Wesley LePatner's leadership BlackStone became the US' largest single landlord, owning a small city's worth of homes(250k homes).

The headlines should be: "CEO of US largest corporate landlord killed in possible case of mistaken identity."
