“Gaza. I feel it particularly because I am Jewish. I know how much wickedness and cruelty were meted out to Jews in my lifetime. I was born in ’41 at the height of the Holocaust.
…
And so my heart is broken and I think the terrible thing I have to face is that Hitler won. He changed us. He made us like him.”

Yea , @urlyman , when the Christ said , "Love your neighbor ," he must've known what creating an enemy , and holding and maintaining that concept over time does to one .

@urlyman

The number of jews (including many holocaust survivors) against the genocide and even the idea of a jewish ethno-state kind of says otherwise though.

Zionism was developed parallel to Nazism, it didn't come about strictly as a product of the holocaust the way zionists want us all to believe. The narratives and plans we see unfolding today were already being written prior to WWII because they were created from an imperialistic worldview and philosophy of the 19th century.

@urlyman

Zionists saw the Holocaust as an opportunity, David Ben-Gurion, the first PM of Israel, famously wrote that if it were a choice between saving all the children killed in the holocaust or having the state of Israel, he would always choose Israel.

I think both nazism and zionism are legacies of 19th and 20th century European imperial culture. They are political ideologies, and jewish people are proving they don't have to be saddled with them, that there are other paths many can take.

Indeed, what I have been observing for some time now. Victims became the offenders here… the irony of it is unspeakable.

It wasn't AI firing into crowds of starving people...

At least 32 Palestinians killed in Gaza as IDF fires on crowds seeking food
Witnesses say scenes near Gaza Humanitarian Foundation aid hubs in the south of the territory resembled a massacre

@Truth4ever Those are lovely words I agree with re Miriam and all who share her perspective. I’m not Jewish though. I’m from an Anglican Christian background and so I have no idea what it is like to have hatred directed directly at me just for who I am
