Me learning vim.

When you finally exit vim
You know, I'm something of a scientist myself

@rolle I heard Vim's nameactually comes from an ancient forgoten language and translates roughly to 'How do I exit this? ' ;)

@rolle At some point I was using and enjoying vim a lot. Now decades later I find that I'm forced to use vi instead, since nothing else is available by default

@rolle Muista ne ekat kerrat, kun käytin vim:iä ja tappelin tilojen, tiedoston tallentamisen ja editorista poistumisen kanssa 😃

@rolle Last week I saw a colleague struggle to exit vim and save a file.

It hurt.

@rolle I’ve found exiting the easy part… What's difficult is deleting a single character on a line, at least without deleting the whole line. Backspace and Delete keys typically don't work at all or do something totally unexpected.
