For all those searching for moral and ethical clarity in what seems a nation gone mad — I may have good news.

Hang with me for a little 🧵 thread about how, for reasons we may never understand, the #BabyBoomers and the late #SilentGeneration are criminally inclined to an abnormal degree.

First, this article from the Atlantic titled “AMERICA’S INCARCERATION RATE IS ABOUT TO FALL OFF A CLIFF.”

Here’s a non-paywalled link from Archive Today: https://archive.ph/mi5Wn

And here, today, the #UnitedStates has chosen to re-elect it’s poster boy #BabyBoomer#CriminalInChief. Still up to the same old criminal tricks …

But, you guys. And, by “you guys” I mean, the generations younger than the criminals who still have something to fight for in this world. This means that change could be right around the corner. And, the harder we fight to get these criminals out of power, the better off we’ll all be.

So, let’s fight.
Fair, like we know how to.
And leave the criminal shit to the past by building a better world.

So, when we say that #WashingtonDC is filled criminals — it’s no exageration. DC is filled to overbrimming with criminals, because it’s still filled to overbrimming with #BabyBoomers.

Why are there so many boomers in Congress the article asks?
Gee … I dunno??? Higher levels of sociopathy, perhaps?
Here’s the stats:

Several theories account for this, such as the #LeadCrimeHypothesis linked below. But, there is no smoking gun cause in the literature. But, it’s plain that boomer criminal disposition is real.

tldr?

Well, let’s just say it is inarguable that beginning with the late Silent Generation and continuing through the Baby Boomers, #crime went through the roof. It peaked in the early 90’s. There is no prior incidence in American history of such criminality. And no, it’s not that there were so many more boomers — the statistics are populated adjusted.

And here’s the funny thing (in a sad pathetic funny kind of way … not haha funny). They are still hard at work in their criminal ways despite their advanced age.

Check this article. They are still be prosecuted at higher rates than the generations that follow:
