My employer is currently looking for a technical writer with electronics experience to help proofread and update/partially rewrite blog articles.
It would be around ~4 articles per week for 2000 USD a month (negotiable).
This would be a freelance position.

@researchfairy My only foray into Big Pharma was because not only did I know someone, but he made sure that no matter how poorly I interviewed I'd still get hired. I very much liked the work and the people I worked with directly, but the internal politics (from which I was mostly insulated) was brutal, the bureaucracy was off the charts, and of course they decided they wanted to get out of the technology I was working on after a few years, so we were all cut loose.

Very slow year for editorial work! Had the idea a couple days ago that I should start working on some portfolio pieces that push in new directions for me -- but that was hijacked by this idea for a comic about just binning my own style for other, more marketable trends.
This is not actually a major concern for me, as I've been commissioned on multiple occasions to do illustrations in other styles and those kinds of jobs are pretty darned fun.

@benlockwood depends if it's a new book or pre-order that i really want. but i also enjoy reading paperbacks. if it's a graphic novel i usually would try & get a hardback. the glue can be a bit crap in paperbacks & the pages fall out.
